Keyword Research, The Basics Of Good SEO
Keyword research is really the basics of SEO. From your keywords you can build and go forward. For this reason it’s vital that you get this step of the process absolutely right.
You need a tool to research your keywords with. There are many excellent ones available. Some are stand along programs, and some are web based. It makes little difference which type you use. But what does make a difference is how you use it.
You need to plug in a generic keyword first to get to the real gold. For example, “golf” is a generic keyword and using that will yield all kinds of much more interesting keywords. Say you find “how to improve my golf swing” in your research. That tells you that people are seeking information on how to swing their club better. Do you think an ebook targeted to that subject would sell using that keyword? Or would you rather use the generic, and non-descriptive term, “golf”? I know what I’d use!
