Internet Marketing With Articles
Everyone is writing articles, or paying to have them written, these days. They seem to think that articles are the latest big thing, when in reality they have been around as long and longer than the Internet itself. And I don’t mean just the World Wide Web - I mean the Internet.
However, it’s a sad fact of life that for many, articles are just another weapon in their arsenal of SEO tools. Yes, that is how it should be, but too many people treat articles and the people who write them like dirt.
That is wrong. Go to rentacoder.com, or elance.com, or any of the other sites that cater to ghostwriter services, and you will find people seeking high quality articles of 500 words or more, yet they are only willing to pay $1 - maybe $2 at most.
These are people who have no idea of how articles can be used to enhance your SEO efforts. The main reason why I say that is this: If you can get someone to write a high quality, 500 word article for peanuts, then you are dealing with an idiot. Idiots do not write high quality articles. They are idiots.
The people who write high quality articles know that they are good. they charge accordingly. And the people who buy their high quality articles are willing to pay much more because they know that the writer is good. They know that a well written article that costs them $20, or even $50, will produce more profits in the long term than 50 pieces of garbage ever will.
Article writing done the right way is an art. The writer doesn’t have to work to a keyword density of 2%, or 5%, or whatever. They write naturally and the keyword density becomes perfectly natural too. It shows clear through every time.
Internet marketing with articles does not mean taking hundreds of pieces of poorly written trash and throwing up a spammy AdSense-bait web site.
That’s plain stupidity. It may earn a dollar or two a day, so if you do the same thing 100 times, then it may seem as if you are an Internet marketer. Hmmm… I know what I think about that.
Internet marketing with articles can mean many things. But one proven method is simply to add a high quality article - not a 500 word, or a 400 word piece, but an article of natural length with a natural keyword density that uses synonyms as well as a main keyword, to your web site once or twice a week. This is a natural way to grow a site, and the search engines know this too.
Article writing has, regrettably, become seriously devalued in the last year or so. Offering a pittance for a “high quality” article is an insult to everyone - even to the people in third world countries.
Writing is an art, and the artist should be rewarded accordingly. The person who buys a real high quality article will realise its value in the years to come, for if it is put to work properly, it will earn many times it cost, over and over again.

I have to agree with everything you have said, although I must take issue with the use of the term idiot. Anyone can make a mistake, especially when jumping feetfirst into the business as I did.
That’s right, I made the mistake of taking one of these cheap article writing assignments. However, it was through ignorance of proper rates and a mistaken belief that getting a reference at any cost was an effective way to start out rather than stupidity that led me to accept such a lousy contract.
Needless to say, I only made that mistake once. After a month spent slaving over 200 articles and only showing a measly $200 for it, the lesson was learned… and learned well. Your time is money, and your time is worth far more than $1-5 per article if your writing is any good at all.
