The Value Of Using A Newsletter On Your Web Site
Many people don’t believe that they need a newsletter, or that they have anything to offer anyone. They build their web sites, make their offers and take whatever profits they can get. Many do very well and are satisfied too. But often they don’t realise that they could double or triple their profits if the only had a newsletter.
The value of a newsletter on your web site is immense. It’s not to be viewed as “extra work” that you can avoid. Newsletters are merely a marketing tool, and a very efficient one at that. When you offer something of value to your web site visitors in exchange for their email address, you then have their permission to send out regular newsletters with all kinds of information.
Some of that information can be recommendations, reviews of products or services that you are impressed with. If you can show that the product saved you an enormous amount of time, or even made you money for little investment, then a percentage of the people you tell this to will be tempted to purchase. And if you have provided an affiliate link then you will profit from the commission you gain.
Howrever, you should go deeper than that. You should treat your newsletter subscribers – your list in other words – like family members. Someone once said that they should be treated like a rare orchid, and that’s exactly how you should do it.
Respect them, nurture them, show them that you have information that is worthwhile. Be entertaining to them, earn their trust and respect, and you will be rewarded so well that you will struggle to believe it. Is there any value in having a newsletter on your web site? You’d better believe there is!
