Wikipedia is the world’s largest online encyclopedia. It’s an encyclopedia that anyone can edit, which is mainly it’s attraction for many people. With more than eight and a quarter million articles spread over two hundred and fifty-three languages, and almost one and a quarter billion words over all the various Wikipedias, it’s easy to appreciate that this is a massive work in progress that is unlikely to be surpassed any time soon.

Early next year they will move their headquarters from Florida to California.
Wikipedia is loved by the major search engines such as Google. For many keywords you will find a Wikipedia entry near the top of the first ten results. this is what has made Wikipedia extremely popular with many people as it always seems to be there offering friendly advice and help.
