Pay Per Click Adds to Complications
Before going any further on why pay per click (PPC) ads are adding to complicated presentation of websites, let us check out this basic definition from Wikipedia:
(Source)Pay per click (PPC) is an advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks, and content websites/blogs, where advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an ad to visit the advertiser’s website. Advertisers bid on keywords they believe their target market would type in the search bar when they are looking for a product or service. When a user types a keyword query matching the advertiser’s keyword list, or views a page with relevant content, the advertiser’s ad may be shown.
We all know that for websites to prosper, advertising and promotional tools available on the web is needed. We are all familiar with the Google adsense provisions and surely we can see them each time we visit most sites today. The thing here similar to playing fishing. You have to entice people to click on them to earn some revenue. There are typical ways to optimize their placement. However, content management should also be present since page impressions are also important in the whole mix.
Complicated? Well if you think of it, it is just a click and earn methodology of sorts. But the key here is how and when visitors would click on these ads. This is perhaps something that most people are thinking of today to make the most out of these PPC ads. The ads shown when they are placed should measure up to what people are looking when they happen to be browsing along your site. Sort of like a hit and miss, and hopefully you will hit all the time!
