Newsletters were made to help provide updates and information about sites and companies on their latest developments and events, much of which are being followed closely by people affiliated with them. While this is believed to be a marketing tool to help build on the site or corporate image, some people are not too fond of newsletters that are sent for the sake of accomplishing its duty of providing information for subscribers.
Some feel that newsletters are useful if they are duly serving their purpose. But at the moment, many see these newsletters as a means of building branding and image of sites. They should be valued in the way that the product or service is being valued. Hence, some people end up being dismayed and disappointed at times when newsletters are not really serving their ideal purpose, that of which is to keep subscribers up to date.
Hence, expect some people to have apprehensions when they are being asked to subscribe for newsletters. Some may try them for a while but once they see that there is no benefit coming from such subscriptions then chances are they would end up unsubscribing and getting junk mails.
