Internet Marketing Success Through Statistics
For successful Internet marketing practices to prosper, there has to be a good analysis involved other than that of turning to the standard website marketing practices we see today. Included among the usual Internet marketing practices today are:
- Advertising Links
- Link Building
- Online Advertising
- Banner Exchange
- Google Adsense
Now these may sound recurring to you. We hear about them each time we try to find ways on how to optimize our sites through Internet marketing. Actually, some people would be surprised at how a simple website may rack in better statistics over complicated sites that look like they have been plastered with banners and affiliate links all throughout.
(Source) Once you start looking at server stats, you need to determine your conversion ratio. The conversion ratio is the number of sales you get per visitor to the site. Importantly, it is not the number of sales per hit. A visitor may generate multiple hits, so just focus on visitor statistics. Some stats programs refers to visitors as “sessions.” Regardless, conversion ratios vary by product or service. Some may be as low as 1 in 25 visitors while others will be much higher. If you convert at anything over 1 in 500, the site probably needs some serious tweaks.
Statistics usually refer to hits and visitors that have accessed the site and its sub-pages. Assessing them individually can show which are being searched frequently, and what in particular about the site they are doing right. Do these things and in the end you may be surprised at the outcome of improved and optimized sites through good Internet marketing practice.
