Cast A SEMMYs Vote (Sorry Scotland SEO Isn’t In The Running)
This past year has been good for search engine marketing. Matt McGee, a well known Internet marketer, created the SEMMYs to honor search engine marketers with awards for outstanding work in the field. It most has to do with writing great articles. I’ve been reading through some of the articles and they’re actually pretty good, so I don’t mind recommending them. You can even vote on your favorite ones in each category.
In the SEO category, you can read the following articles and vote on the best one:
- Search Engine Ranking Factors Version 2
- Five Reasons To Aim Low When You’re Just Learning SEO
- Advanced Keyword Research - The power of understanding your visitors
- SEO Gotchas Even The Pros Make
- Sculpting Your PageRank For Maximum SEO Impact
Another category you can read about is the Search Tech category:
- What To Look For In A SEO Friendly E-Commerce Application
- Which Is Better For SEOs: Shared Or Dedicated IPs?
- When Choosing An eCommerce System, Remember The Search Engines
If that’s not enough, try reading up on the Local Search category:
- Local Search Interviews, Information, And Resources
- Location Prominence And Differences In Local OneBox And Google Maps
- Local Numbers: Setting The Record Straighter
- Google Local Search Glossary
- When Might Google Show Local Search Information In Web Search Results
- Anatomy & Optimization Of A Local Business Profile
I encourage you to go the SEMMY website and vote on the stories you like in all the categories. By the way, there are more than just these three categories.

search engine marketing is part of seo. So that’s like saying that the wheels of your car are more powerful than the axle.
