Will Google Get Into Bet With Digg?
Rumours abound again that Google is in the final stages of buying Digg. Why not! They seem to have bought just about every other going concern when it comes to social and traffic flow through.
Google are a little like a railway tycoon. They buy the trains, buy the stations then send the trains through as and when they want them too.
Not happy with that, they are now buying the shopping centers around the stations and encouraging passengers to walk through the shopping center to get to and from their trains.
What effect will Google’s acquisition of Digg have? Fairly little to start with particularly for the every day user. However, for web site owners there may be some positive and negative aspects.
The positives are that perhaps more viewers will pass by your content, if it has been dug. The downside is that Google will have all this extra information to collect. If you think search results are slow and inaccurate now, now, the future may be even more crowded.
