Blogging To Close A Sale
One of the benefits of creating a good blog is that it can act as a very powerful salesperson. It all takes is the right content with enticing links to draw the potential customer to the sales window.
It’s not just content. We hear that content is king, and it is, but it is not the only thing. Content provides information however not every word is suitable to every visitor or every situation.
Having well placed and well anchored links to other pages is also extremely important. Customers do not want to have to search for the next piece of information. It should be there in front of them. In fact, there is nothing wrong with the repeating the information, so long as you don’t overdo it.
If your content is well written, you can incorporate links to one or more pages quite naturally. If the reader is ready to move on, they will follow those links. If they want to read on, they will: if the content flow is natural.
Content really is king, even when it comes to linking to other pages. It needs to flow naturally from top to bottom. The links need to be incorporated naturally into that flow – yet stand out sufficiently to draw the reader to them. The ultimate link, the one that flows to your checkout, should be just as natural as all the others, yet sign posted with a well written call to action. All this from simple blogging.
