What Are Dynamic Landing Pages?

Dynamic landing pages are effectively an extension of your website that have been optimized for a particular set of keywords. As the name suggest, they are pages that meant to be a visitors first stop when they find you, either through organic search results or as a result of pay-per-click advertising.

The content of a landing page serves two purposes. First, because it has been optimized for specific keywords, you are looking to rank well for those keywords and draw traffic from the search engines.

The second purpose is to encourage visitors to act, generally by getting them to click through to an action page such as completing a sale.

One of the benefits of dynamic landing pages is that you can measure the effectiveness of your campaigns, particularly your pay-per-click campaigns. You can also do comparisons by having more than one landing page and doing a split test. This tests two sets of keywords to see which are the most effective at delivering conversions.

Through split testing you may find that keyword A delivers 1000 visitors with a conversion of 5% whilst keyword B only delivers 500 visitors but converts at 15%. That is 50 conversions to 75 and if you are using a pay-per-click campaign, 500 fewer clicks for keyword B.

Dynamic landing pages are an effective way to provide keyword specific content that can attract visitors which then directs them to pages to complete an action.
