You can’t really build a website today without doing some link building. Google’s algorithms, and to some extent that of other search engines, is based on the quantity and quality of inbound links. While there are a variety of ways to build inbound links, one very important way is through social bookmarking.

It is important though to keep in mind that you don’t want all of your inbound links to come from one type of website. You should incorporate a variety of types of links in your link building campaigns. This should also include:

• Blog comment links
• Article marketing
• Personal or business blog
• Endorsements from other website owners
• Directory submissions

And this is just a start. You want your inbound links to be relevant and social bookmarking sites is one way to build those relevant links.
